Martin Gerla is a Prague-based jazz bassist and composer. He is a graduate of the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory and College in Prague, where he studied jazz performance.He is a member of Nerez & Lucia, a band rooted in the legacy of the legendary Czech group Nerez, as well as Fanfán Tulipán, an original project featuring playful and eclectic music, and Sunny Swing Orchestra, a traditional jazz ensemble dedicated to the swing music.As a bassist, he has collaborated with internationally acclaimed artists including Nicole Zuraitis and Bex Marshall among others.
